PhotoVault Backup is a local backup utility for macOS that does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information.
Data Collection
PhotoVault Backup does NOT collect any personal data:
- No analytics or usage tracking
- No crash reporting or telemetry
- No user accounts or registration
- No data is sent to Codeform or third parties
Photos Library Access
PhotoVault Backup requests access to your Photos library solely to:
- Read photo and video metadata
- Export photos and videos to your chosen backup location
- Download photos stored in iCloud Photos to your Mac during export
- Your photos are saved only to the local folder you select
Reminders Access (Optional)
PhotoVault Backup can optionally create a backup reminder:
- Only used if you choose to set a reminder after export
- Creates a single reminder in your Reminders app
- No reminder data is collected or transmitted
Network Access
PhotoVault Backup uses network access only for iCloud Photos:
- Downloads photos stored in iCloud directly to your Mac
- Connects only to Apple's iCloud servers (no third-party servers)
- No data is sent to Codeform or any other external service
- No analytics, tracking, or telemetry data is transmitted
Data Storage
PhotoVault Backup stores minimal data locally:
- Export destination folder bookmark (for remembering your chosen location)
- No photo data, metadata, or personal information is stored by the app
All exported photos are saved to the location you choose and remain under your complete control.
Third-Party Services
PhotoVault Backup does not use any third-party services, analytics, or tracking tools.
