Sites that are down, hacked or left half-finished

We rescue your siteand bring it up to date.

They're almost always WordPress sites on old versions, with plugins nobody updated or a developer who stopped answering. We find out what happened, back up what's there, clean the site and leave it better protected.

The diagnostic is free and emergencies go first. Cleaning a WordPress site costs CLP 100,000 + VAT, with a 30-day guarantee.

When people write to us

It got hacked

Casino or pharmacy pages show up under your domain on Google, the site sends phone visitors somewhere else, or your host found malicious files.

It's down

A blank screen, a “critical error” or a 500 error after an update, or your host suspended the account.

It was left half-finished

The previous developer stopped answering, the logins are missing and nobody really knows how it's built.

Nobody has updated it in years

An unsupported PHP version, expired plugins and fear of pressing “Update” in case something breaks.

You can't see it on the page, but Google can.

It's the most common kind of WordPress hack. The site looks the same as always, but it carries hidden links and hundreds of casino pages published on its own domain, in several languages. Google finds them and shows them when someone searches for the business.

Why it needs cleaning soon

  • Google ranks it lower or drops it

Fake pages break Google's rules, and a site that carries them can rank lower or stop showing up at all.

  • It can be labelled as hacked

Google can show a warning next to the result, and it stays until the site is cleaned and a review is requested.

  • Your customers find casinos under your name

People searching for the business see gambling pages on your domain, and some hacked sites send visitors from Google to another page.

  • Your ads get rejected

If you advertise on Google, ads that lead to a hacked site are rejected until it's fixed.

What we do first

Order matters: clean a site without finding out how they got in, and they get back in.

  1. Diagnostic

We go through files, database, users, plugins and what Google has already indexed, to learn what happened and how far it reached. Then we send you a short report and confirm the price. This part is free.

  2. Backup

Before touching anything, we copy the whole site exactly as it is, files and database.

  3. Cleanup

We remove the fake pages, the injected code, the malicious files and the accounts nobody created.

  4. Updates

WordPress, theme, plugins and PHP brought up to date, checking the site still works after each change.

  5. Hardening

New passwords, only the logins that are in use, and automatic backups. Then we ask Google to review the site again.

What it costs

The diagnostic is free, and you only pay if you decide to go ahead. Cleaning a WordPress site costs CLP 100,000 + VAT, a fixed price. After 30 days we check it again, and if the same problem is back, we clean it again at no cost. If we find something bigger, such as several infected sites, a store taking payments, a compromised server or a site that needs rebuilding, we quote it before going on.

Emergencies go first

If your site is down or showing spam, we prioritise it. First we get it online and clean, then we deal with the rest.

Real examples

Cleaned

Five sites for a transport group

All on WordPress and on the same server, two of them full of casino spam: over two thousand fake posts, hidden links inside the real pages, admin accounts named like the team's own and files that kept reinstalling the problem. We cleaned both sites, closed those ways in and checked all five from top to bottom.

Finished

A site another developer left half-done

An institution's WordPress site in two languages that reached us with no documentation. We set up a test copy from the live site, found changes made straight on the server that were never in the code and recovered them, finished the pending work and handed it over with full backups.

Fixed

A site stuck on an old server

A WordPress site still on PHP 7.4, unsupported since 2022, with plugins that could no longer update and a contact form that had stopped sending email. We moved it to a new server on PHP 8, updated WordPress, the theme and the plugins, and fixed what turned up along the way: the form, images that wouldn't load and a page that fell apart on phones.

Afterwards, we keep it up to date.

A site nobody updates ends up exposed again. After the rescue we can stay in charge with a monthly plan that keeps the site up to date and leaves hours to keep improving it, and add managed hosting and domain.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if my site has been hacked?

Search Google for site:yourdomain.com. If pages you never made show up, in other languages or about casinos and pharmacies, it almost certainly has. Other signs: the site sends you elsewhere when you open it on your phone, Google or your host sends you a warning, or your emails start landing in spam.

Can you fix a site you didn't build?

Yes, that's the usual case. With access to the hosting and the WordPress admin we can see how it's built, even with no documentation.

What access do you need?

The hosting (cPanel or your provider's panel), the WordPress admin and, if DNS or email need work, the domain. If nobody has the passwords, we help you recover them with your provider.

Will I lose content?

No. The first step is a full backup, and we only remove what the attacker added. If there's a backup from before the hack, we use it to compare.

When does the spam disappear from Google?

The fake pages stop existing as soon as we clean the site. Then we ask Google to review it again, and it takes a few weeks to drop them from its results.

How long does it take?

It depends on how much damage there is. The urgent part, getting the site back online and free of spam, comes first, and we finish the rest after that.

What if my site isn't WordPress?

We take those too. Most rescues are WordPress, but we work with other systems and with custom-built sites, for example in PHP, Drupal or Nuxt.

Can it happen again?

It can, if the site goes without updates again. That's why we close the ways the attacker used, bring everything up to date, check it again after 30 days and, if you like, stay in charge with a monthly plan.

Does the diagnostic cost anything?

No. We go through the site, send you a short report with what we found and how we'd fix it, and confirm the price. You only pay if you decide to go ahead with the cleanup.

How much does it cost?

Cleaning a WordPress site costs CLP 100,000 + VAT, a fixed price. It covers removing the spam and injected code, deleting the fake accounts, updating everything, changing the passwords and asking Google to review the site. If we find something bigger, we quote it before going on.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes. 30 days after the cleanup we check the site again, and if the same problem is back, we clean it again at no cost. It doesn't cover new problems, such as a plugin installed later or a password someone shares.
